Ten years ago, Kate met a guy in a bar. He told her that he was an aerialist and that she should try taking a few classes. What followed was a decade of pain, frustration and passion. Starting out with silks and trapeze, nothing captured Kate’s heart, soul and strength like aerial chains. When she is not step-momming, podcasting or working her day-a-week job as a deputy medical examiner, Kate can be found hanging from ceilings in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. She is a regular performer for Dante’s Sinferno, WhoppeeLive, and was the 2018 artist in residence for The Steep and Thorny Way to Heaven. Other performance credits include The Portland Vampire Masquerade Ball, Boyeurism, Fright Night and many others. Kate is honored and delighted to further explore her art with the 2020 Vespertine Ball and eagerly anticipates creating a unique and haunting experience for all who attend.
